A Little About Clayton
Clayton, Union County, New Mexico, is known as "Crossroads Country" and is located in the northeastern corner of New Mexico, bordering Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas.
Clayton offers many scenic and historic sites, as well as a variety of attractions that are great for "Day Trips". You can enjoy the rich Western History and Old Santa Fe Trail.
Clayton is approximately 3.5 hours from Santa Fe, the state's capital, and 2.5 hours from Taos. A short trip in any direction will take you to the mountains for skiing, or Clayton Lake State Park for fishing, camping, hiking, star gazing, bird watching, viewing our dinasour tracks and many other fun activities.
